Curriculum Vitae:


Born in 1968 in Vienna.

Began to dance at the age of seven in the private ballet school “Birkmeyer”.

At the age of eight he was accepted at the ballet school of the Austrian Federal Theatres and trained in classical ballet, character dance, Spanish dance, modern dance, jazz, acrobatic and fencing.

He continued his dance training at international seminars in Cannes, Monte Carlo, London, Berlin and New York.

At the Vienna State Opera Ballet he danced several solos in Giselle, Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, Manon, The Merry Widow, The Legend of Joseph, a Midsummernights Dream, Firebird, Don Quixote, Sinfony in D, Mata Hari, Sleeping Beauty, Swanlake, La Valse, Die Puppenfee, Wolfgang Amadé, Cinderella, Spartacus, La Fille mal gardée, Six Dances, The three cornered Hat, Tschaikowsky Impressionen, Coppélia, Platzkonzert, Mayerling as well as in operas like Capriccio, Eugen Onegin and Die Tote Stadt.


June 94   First choreography in the ballet workshop “Young Choreographers” in the Theatre Akzent/Vienna.
Autumn 94   In the dance series “State Opera Ballet in the Rabenhof/Vienna” he had the opportunity to present his first work altogether 6 times.
May 95   In Paris/France he won the International Choreography Competition “Prix Volinine '95” with his piece 1994-Im Jahr der Familie (1994-In the year of the family).
As well as the 1st prize, he also received the prize from the “Zivot Umelce” donation, the prize of the city Biarritz/France and the future prize of the company SPEDIDAM.
His leading dancer, Mrs. Iva Gattin, won an interpretation prize.
June 95   Finalist in the 9th competition for choreographers in Hanover/Germany.
Nov. 95   Manager of the production off ballet... 4x1 pieces of dance.
Apr./May 96   Manager of the production off ballet... 3x2 pieces of dance.
Here he showed his work Gerd und Gerda und die Grenze (Gerd and Gerda and the border).
June 96   Choreographic assignment for the Ballet School of the Austrian Federal Theatre with the piece Vor dem Sunset Beach Hotel (in front of the Sunset Beach hotel).
June 97   Choreographic assignment for the Vienna State Opera Ballet with male and female for 2 performances in the Odeon/Vienna.
June 98   Choreographic assignment for the Vienna State Opera Ballet with Von weißen Kisten (White Boxes) for 3 performances in the Odeon/Vienna.
June 99   Choreographic assignment for the Vienna State Opera Ballet with Mai (May) for 3 performances in the Odeon/Vienna.
May 2000   Choreographic assignment for the Vienna State Opera Ballet with Wesen (Essence) for 3 performances in the Odeon/Vienna.
May 2000   He staged Wesen for the Academy of Ballet of the City Vienna under the title ...und das Ende einer Liebe (…and the end of a love).
Performances at the 2nd International Ballet Competition in St. Pölten/Austria and in the “Gala of the ballet school 2000” in the Opera Leipzig/Germany.
Dec. 2001   Choreographic Assistance in the production Roméo et Juliette of the Vienna State Opera.

Jan. 2002   2 performances of the piece Amélie in an International Dance Festival in Vienna.
Jan. 2002   Dinu Tamazlacaru danced Amélie in the finals of the International Dance Competition “Prix de Lausanne”.
He was placed second and won a Prix de Lausanne Scholarship.
May 2002   Further performances of Amélie in the International Ballet Competition “Arabesk-2002” in Perm/Russia.
Dinu Tamazlacaru won the 1st Prize.
June 2002   2 choreographies for the 3rd International Ballet Competition in St. Pölten/Austria. Inka for Elizabeth Golibina and Les Jours Tristes for Radu Tamazlacaru. Elizabeth Golibina won the 1st prize, Radu Tamazlacaru the 3rd prize.
Sept. 2002   Choreography for the production Vienna Blood at the Opera Zürich/Swizerland.
